I have a confession to make. I’ve been really irresponsible. It was my birthday on Wednesday, (and my party is tomorrow eeeep!) and I got some birthday money… And it is already spent. Mainly in Penneys. It was an accident, really.
With that in mind however, I love looking at haul videos on YouTube, so hopeful a haul post will be nearly as good!
I get really excited about Autumn/Winter clothes, I just prefer them so much to Summer clothes. It’s just so much easier for a curvy girl to dress in cooler weather. Also, living in Ireland, it’s Autumn/Winter for 9 months of the year, so I suppose I’ve just had more practice with dressing for cooler climes!
I mostly bought clothes, but first of all, I’ll get the random stuff out of the way.
I got sensible black tights, cause I are sensible, a backcombing brush for €1.50 which I’ve wanted for ages, and various shoe-comfiers. I’m really unkind to myself when it comes to the shoes I force myself to wear, so hopefully these will help my poor feetsies?
Also, I got a cute pink belt with little gold hearts, €1.50.
Another belt, black with gold chevrons, €1.50.
Big gold rocker cross ring. The nail polish is China Glaze but not sure of the shade, sorry!
Right, onto the clothes! Sorry about some of the poses. I was trying to get myself out of the ‘three-quarter turn, hand on the hip pose’ rut with varying degrees of success!
Firstly, cute t-shirt material bow dress, €7. Cute on off-days with leggings. If I’m feeling belly-ish I’ll wear a high-waisted skirt over it to hide my sins. Love three-quarter-length sleeves, the most flattering sleeve length.
Also, black leggings. You can never have too many, plus all mine have holes/are see-through/are all baggy at the knees.
Red dress with crossover back and little embossed rose pattern, €15.
Cosy Bambi crew-neck jumper, €12. Yes, I know the label is still on it. I don’t like taking the label off until I’m actually wearing the item out for the first time, otherwise it’s not special.
Bat pattern t-shirt, €3. Can you believe that?! Sure I couldn’t leave it there. It would be lonely.
Dodgy pose alert, thought I was being all sexy but I just wasn’t. Sensible/sexy (?? Can’t decide, but it’s warm anyway) polo-neck, €6.
Gorgeous little tartan skirt, can’t remember how much. I think this is my favourite purchase, I LOVE IT! So punk/cute/everything I want in a skirt. I love high waists cause my actual waist is small and all my nomz hang out around the bellybutton area. High waists make me look like all of me is as thin as my thinnest bit!
Maroon velvet skater skirt. Love, love, love skater skirts, for all of the above reasons. So cute, so wearable, such a flattering shape. And I love velvet, so rich and old-fashioned.
Loved it so much I bought it in two colours, here is the same velvet skirt in black. So goth and lush and I can’t even. Love it <3
Monochrome chevron miniskirt, €4.50. Four fifty!! Can you believe it?! Again, I couldn’t leave it. It’s surprisingly wearable and flattering for a big-bummed girl like myself. Makes it look more J-Lo than Mr. Blobby. Comfortable too, and doesn’t roll down or anything throughout the day (I wore this today haha).
Well, that’s it! Thank you for reading. I might be doing another (smaller!) haul soon of my birthday pressies, and also I got some new beauty products you might be interested in seeing.
Let me know what you think!
PS, all of these things were bought in Penneys Athlone, if you’re wondering whether they’re in your local store or anything.
